It would be simplicity itself to make it so that you can not activate weapons in high sec. CCP avoids this like the plague because, wisely, they understand that if they did so EVE would become just another generic game. Popularity "might" briefly spike, but would then be followed by inevitable decline into obscurity.

When you get right down to it, the fact that emotionally charged threads like this one are being created at such a frantic pace is proof positive that CCP is doing something very, very right.

Eve's subscriptions have been declining actually. :P

Also, when I joined this game I was told that it was pretty much on online space life simulator, not that people would go around making other's lives miserable because that's there bases to blow up there ego.

Ummm, wow has threads like this, every mmo does, even the bad ones :P
